Overview
SalePilot is billed as a Shopify app subscription where applicable. Your plan defines a monthly allowance of successful variant price changes and a cap on active scheduled offers at any one time. Limits are designed to keep usage predictable; they are not a guarantee of processing speed or queue priority.
How Shopify Billing works
Subscription charges for SalePilot are processed through Shopify Billing. Esafqa does not store your payment card details for app billing — Shopify and its payment partners handle payment instruments according to Shopify’s checkout and merchant billing flows.
Invoices, taxes, receipts, and subscription status appear in your Shopify admin consistent with other app subscriptions. If a charge looks unexpected, check your plan and billing cycle in Shopify first, then contact us with your store domain and any relevant screenshots.
What counts as usage
Usage counts successful variant updates applied through SalePilot when a row completes successfully (for example, a variant’s price or compare-at price is updated as intended). The monthly counter is tied to your billing period for the app as reflected in Shopify.
Only outcomes that represent completed successful changes increment usage. The exact mechanics may evolve as the product improves; the principle is that usage reflects real catalog updates you asked SalePilot to perform.
What does not count as usage
The following generally do not consume monthly successful-variant usage:
- Previews and read-only review of proposed prices before execution.
- Drafts and tasks that have not produced successful updates.
- Skipped rows or rows that fail or cannot be applied.
- Rollback operations — rollback is not blocked by usage limits and does not count toward successful variant usage in the same way as forward execution.
If you see unexpected usage, include the task name or ID when you contact support so we can help interpret results in context.
Monthly usage limits by plan
Approximate public plan limits for successful variant changes per month and active scheduled offers:
| Plan | Price | Successful variant changes / month | Active scheduled offers | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $5 / month | 250 | 1 | None |
| Starter | $10 / month or $96 / year | 2,000 | 3 | 3-day trial |
| Growth | $19 / month or $179 / year | 25,000 | 20 | 3-day trial |
| Agency | $49 / month or $469 / year | 100,000 | 100 | 3-day trial |
Plan names, prices, and limits may be updated over time; the in-app and Shopify listing details at the time you subscribe take precedence if they differ from this help page.
Active scheduled offers explained
An active scheduled offer is a scheduled pricing workflow that still occupies capacity on your plan — for example, an offer that is scheduled but not yet started, or an executed scheduled offer that is still within its sale window or waiting for a scheduled rollback step.
The limit is about concurrency, not about whether you can create drafts. If you hit the active-offer cap, finish or cancel existing scheduled work before scheduling additional overlapping offers, or upgrade to a higher plan if appropriate.
What happens when a limit is reached
When you approach or reach your monthly successful variant limit, SalePilot may block or warn on further executions that would exceed the allowance until your cycle resets or you upgrade.
Rollback should remain available when your task configuration supports it — usage limits are intended to apply to forward updates, not to prevent restoring prior prices from snapshots when eligible.
When you reach active scheduled offer limits, you may need to wait for an offer to complete or roll back, or reduce overlapping schedules, before starting another concurrent scheduled offer.
Upgrading or changing plans
Plan changes are initiated through Shopify like other app subscriptions. After you upgrade or downgrade, new limits apply according to Shopify’s effective billing state and the plan you selected.
Proration, billing dates, and eligibility for trials are controlled by Shopify’s billing rules. For subscription-specific questions, Shopify’s own documentation and billing UI are authoritative.
FAQ
Do previews use my monthly quota?
No. Previews do not count as successful variant usage.
Does rollback consume usage?
Rollback is treated separately from forward successful-variant usage; it should not block rollback based on monthly usage limits in the way execution does.
Who do I contact about a charge I do not recognize?
Review the charge in Shopify Billing first. If it still looks wrong, email info@esafqa.com with your store domain and a screenshot of the charge line item.
