LiveScheduling

Recurring sales on Shopify

Recurring sales repeat the same promotion on a schedule: weekly on the days you choose, or every set number of days. Each sale applies your prices at the start and restores previous prices automatically when it ends. You can pause, resume or stop a recurring sale at any time.

Which schedules can you set?

The length must be shorter than the repeat interval, so occurrences never overlap. Before saving, you see a list of upcoming start and end times.

What happens at each occurrence?

At each start time, the app reads your current catalog, calculates the prices from your rule, applies them, and restores the previous prices when that occurrence ends. Products added to a targeted collection since last week are included. Sales may start within about a minute of the scheduled time.

How do pause, resume and stop work?

  • Pause: no new sales run, and an upcoming sale that hasn't started is cancelled.
  • Resume: continues from the next future window. Missed windows aren't made up.
  • Stop: ends the series permanently. It stays visible for history.
  • In every case, a sale that already started still restores prices at its scheduled end.

What can't you do yet?

A recurring sale can't be edited, duplicated or deleted, and single occurrences can't be skipped. To change the schedule or pricing, stop it and create a new one. Monthly or day-of-month schedules (such as "every 25th") aren't available; "every 30 days" is the closest option and will drift across months.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run a sale every weekend automatically?

Yes. Choose weekly, pick Friday, set the start time, and set the length "until" Sunday night. Each weekend's sale restores prices when it ends.

Do recurring sales use my monthly allowance?

Yes. Their successful variant changes count toward monthly usage like any other sale.

Can I schedule a sale on the same date every month?

Not yet. Recurring sales repeat weekly or every N days. Use one-time scheduled sales for a fixed date each month.

What happens if I pause during a running sale?

The running sale still ends and restores at its scheduled time. Pausing only stops future occurrences.
