How to bulk edit prices on Shopify: bulk editor, CSV, Flow and apps compared
How to bulk edit prices on Shopify with the bulk editor, a product CSV, Markets, Flow or an app: steps, percent changes, rounding and a safe way to undo.
Before a sale changes anything, Sale Scheduler saves each variant's previous price and compare-at price. When the sale ends, or whenever you choose, it restores them. If a price was changed somewhere else after the sale started, that variant is skipped and flagged, so newer prices are never overwritten.
Before restoring a variant, the app reads its live price in Shopify and compares it with what the sale set.
| Live price in Shopify | What the app does |
|---|---|
| Already back at the original | Marks it restored and writes nothing |
| Still the sale price | Restores the previous price and compare-at |
| Anything else | Skips it: "Skipped because price changed", for you to review |
Each restore reports Restored, Failed and Skipped because the price changed, per variant. Sales with failures or partial restores appear under "Needs attention" in the sales list, so nothing is silently left at a sale price.
No. Restoring prices is never blocked by your plan, your usage, a missing subscription or a downgrade, and restored variants don't count toward usage. A scheduled restore that gets interrupted, for example by a server restart, resumes and skips variants already restored.
A restore covers price and compare-at price for the variants the sale updated. It doesn't undo other edits made to products during the sale.
Shopify doesn't keep a history you can roll back. Sale Scheduler saves the previous prices before every sale, so you can restore them in one click. See how to undo bulk price changes.
That variant is skipped when restoring, because its live price no longer matches the sale price. Your newer price stays.
